This online consent hub is supported by the Department of Justice and the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation & Science.

The online consent hub has been developed by University of Galway’s Active* Consent programme in consultation with our partners Galway Rape Crisis Centre, Rape Crisis Network Ireland, and the UK-based 1752 Group.

Together we are supporting young people in Ireland and those that are important to them, such as teachers, parents, and college staff, to enhance knowledge and skills of consent as a key component of positive sexual health and well-being.

This online consent hub is an action linked to ‘Supporting a Victim’s Journey: A plan for vulnerable witnesses in sexual violence cases’, launched by Minister Helen McEntee in 2020 to address sexual violence and ensure that the Irish justice system works for those who need it.
